It’s surprising how difficult it can be to find a good suit on the grid without going broke.
Surprising unless you know about Simone! that is.

For several days I’ve been looking around for something approaching a conservative business suit. There are a lot of great formals, and even some superb suits, but finding a nice conservative, vested suit has been difficult. While I was at Simone’s Style Starts Here the other day, I stopped into her men’s shop over in Simone! I’m glad I did.
This is the black vested suit and it was just what I needed. When I snagged it, the price tag caught my eye. I paid 100L for it.
You read that right. 100L!
This was so reasonable I bought the blue one to go with it.
The great thing about buying a suit is that you get a bunch of separates to mix-n-match. This set is no exception. The plethora of layers and the standalone jacket layer make this an exemplary value at three times the price. It was such a good value, I went back and bought two more – in red and green.
This outfit has two things that I wish were different. First, I wish the pants had at least one layer without the tail of the vest on it. It keeps the pants out of the mix-n-match pool which is not a biggie. I’ve got other pants that I can wear with the shirt. Second, I really wanted the navy suit to have a navy jacket instead of the black. I understand it would be weird to have just the one suit with the different color jacket, but this is such a great piece and the navy version is the only one with different colored pants. At 100L I’m not complaining, mind you. The black jacket over the navy pants with the grey vest and blue tie look great.
